410/420 Stainless Steel Bar UNS S41000/UNS S42000 Stainless steel 410/420, also known as UNS S41000 and UNS S42000, is considered a basic martensitic stainless steel. Comprised of 11.5% to 13.5% chromium and iron, along with trace amounts of other elements including carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur. After heat treatment, Stainless Steel 410 exhibits high 420 Modified Stainless Steel (SS) Precision Steel 420 Modified Annealed Stainless Steel. Type 420 stainless steel, a modification of 410, has a higher carbon content to increase hardness, improve strength and give better wear resistance.

Suitable for making molds, 420 stainless steel is a hard, wear-resistant material that can be finely polished to a very smooth surface. It maintains its corrosion resistance in temperatures up to 1150° F.
This type of stainless maintains its best corrosion resistance in the heat treated condition. 420 stainless steel is a martensitic higher carbon version of types 410 and 416 stainless that can be hardened by heat treatment. It contains a minimum of 12 percent chromium, sufficient to give 420 corrosion resistance properties. 420 Stainless Steel420 stainless steel is a martensitic alloy melted as AOD or AOD + ESR. It has higher carbon than the 410 and 416 alloys giving it a higher hardness. This grade has excellent corrosion properties when hardened and offers good ductility in the annealed condition. 420C Stainless Steel 420C Stainless Steel PropertiesSince 420C stainless steels properties make it durable in a variety of different environments, it is one of our most versatile options of steel bearings. You can find this material used in many industries such as cosmetics, agriculture, and more. Expert manufacturers create all our steel balls to ensure you end up with a quality product.

Stainless steel is not a single alloy, but rather the name applies to a group of iron-based alloys containing a minimum of 10.5% chromium. Other elements are added and the chromium content increased to improve the corrosion resistance and heat-resisting properties, enhance mechanical properties, and / or improve fabricating characteristics. There are over 50 stainless-steel grades that X20Cr13, 1.4021, AISI 420 - stainless steelX20Cr13, 1.4021, AISI 420 - specification and application. Martensitic stainless steel intended for thermal improvement, showing high mechanical properties - strength, ductility and machinability, while maintaining sufficient corrosion resistance. 2H13 does not show resistance to chlorine, salts and intergranular corrosion.
